Jewellery commissions by Alex Thiel Goldsmith
Connecting Generations Legacy
Jewellery commissions by Alex Thiel Goldsmith are hand made, one off unique pieces.
Alex can create commissioned new jewellery from old gold and silver pieces that have a very high sentimental value. Those can mean family precious belongings and treasures. Thiel’s specialty are hand made, designed especially for the client, engagement and wedding rings. However, you can check her previous jewellery commissions in her portfolio.
Imagine commissioned wedding rings, hand made especially for you from old family heirlooms. Using metal from bride’s and groom’s grandparents. Amazing symbol of a union of two families becoming one. Or picture an engagement ring with a gemstone from your or her mother’s ring. It would only show dedication and blessing from both families. Beautiful start of a new life together.
Alex Thiel is a qualified goldsmith, who graduated with a diploma in Arts from the National University of Ireland. She accomplished Jewellery and Goldsmithing Skills and Jewellery Design Course at The Design and Crafts Council of Ireland. Also she underwent 3 jewellery internships with goldsmiths and jewellers from Cork city and county.
Thiel has been shortlisted in two major jewellery competitions in 2017, Royal Dublin Society (RDS) Craft Awards and Irish Made Awards by Irish Country Magazine. Took a part in Irish Designers Sample Sale in 2018. Also, continuously sells her one off and limited editions collections in two jewellery shops in Cork city – Platinum Works and Design Works and in Kilkenny – Elsi Jewellery.
All of the precious stones, pearls and metals used by Alex Thiel Goldsmith are ethically sourced.
